skills, attitude and teamwork. Training & development of personal
skills is considered a high priority area and it forms an integral
part of JVSL's people and its organisational development.
The company's philosophy revolves around the development of the
people in their own jobs in such a manner so as to prepare them
to face any adversities that may arise.
Suitable
training is imparted to enhance the multiple skill of the executives
and to enrich the functional tasks.
Programmers
are undertaken keeping in view the dynamic changes in the environment
which are contributed by rapid technological obsolescence, severe
competition with emerging globalisation of markets, increasing
consumarism, new concepts of accountability and social responsibility
among others.

The
Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Plant is complemented by a beautiful
township, Vidyanagar, situated at a distance of four Kms from
the site. The township architecture inspired by Hampi, the erstwhile
capital of Vijayanagar empire is equipped with all the modern
facilities for the well being of the employees.
The
township has an English medium school upto eleventh standard,
a temple, recreational facilities including a club house, swimming
pool, boat house etc., and all the primary medical facilities.
There is a 58 room centrally air-conditioned and well furnished
guest house serving Indian and continental food. Regular group
activities and get togethers bring the residents of Vidyanagar
closer and provide very friendly atmosphere.
